CHRIS KIDGER
Founder

  

Inspired by a search for a new car in the 1970s, Chris Kidger created the original print edition of the Friday-Ad, which launched in Uckfield, in 1974. His simple concept was to make it easier for buyers and sellers to connect, and this continues to be the principal mission of the group today.

Chris says ‘The future is likely to be the same. Our expertise in brand development and lead generation is now allied to the web products and web services we offer alongside the harnessing of data management for the benefit of our customers.’

SAM KIDGER
Managing director

  

Sam is responsible for the overall strategy and performance of the Friday Media Group. He says ‘We are always innovating and, as a consequence, always evolving. We have been in existence for five decades as we have never stood still, and will continue to strive to do adapt to the needs of the marketplace while continuing to bring buyers and sellers, and recruiters and applicants together, through the most innovative and consumer friendly means that we possibly can.’

IAN PARTINGTON
Chief Operational Officer

 

 Ian was the driving force behind the growth of the recrutiment division, and is now responsible for the daily operation of the group as a whole.

Ian says: ‘Our ability to grow our business comes down to our people. At FMG, we give our senior managers the autonomy to grow their respective areas and this philosophy comes from the entrepreneurial spirit that resides within the board and is filtered through the business.’

KATE KIDGER
Automated Sales Director

Kate is responsible for the group’s automated revenue streams. Her current focus is to convert all of the products that we currently sell, into self service products, making it as easy as possible for our customers to expose their business or items for sale, in a fast, convenient and efficient way.

Joe’s responsibility is to drive the overall group marketing and operations functions within the business, as well as steering key development projects and expansion into new markets.

Rob takes responsibility for ensuring the technology we use and the products we build are always moving the business forward, providing solutions to every day problems and making it as easy as possible to interact with our brands. He also looks after the behind-the-scenes stuff that makes most others in the business’ eyes glaze over!
