Job Description

The Marketplaces division is the largest within the group boasting several market leading websites in generalist and niche marketplaces. We offer a wide range of digital marketing solutions to our business customers to align with their needs and help their businesses to grow. We are constantly evolving in an ever changing landscape of digital marketing which makes it a very exciting company to be part of.


Working closely with the marketing, product and development teams, you will provide insight and actions that will drive traffic growth across all other key marketing channels, including SEO, content, email, social and paid media across the divisions websites.


The key responsibility for this role will be to grow organic traffic across our brands through excellent an search strategy;

 

Skills

  • Proven experience specifically in SEO and Analytics, but also across other key marketing channels
  • Ideally you've worked in house and agency side
  • You have a growth mindset - you love to learn and improve continuously and are a strong self-learner
  • You will have strong analytical skills that will provide insight to drive marketing strategy.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics, SEMRUSH, GSC
  • You are collaborative & open - you like to collaborate across teams and are able to clearly communicate strategies and plans with other teams
  • You're organised with strong project management skills and high attention to detail
  • You have the ability to lead, coach and develop a team.
  • Excellent written & communication skills
  • Marketplace experience is beneficial.

Responsibilites

Technical & onsite - ensure that our websites are fully optimised to be in line with the latest google and search engine recommendations. You will stay fully up to speed on the latest technologies and search requirements.


Content & Outreach - using your insight and analytical skills (and various SEO tools at your disposal) you will identify opportunities and work with our marketing team to create and drive our content strategy (including volunteered ads, articles, videos, news etc). Working with the team, you will be responsible for outreach and building brand authority.


Other marketing channels - working with the wider marketing team to ensure that paid, social, email, referral and other key channels have a strong strategy and are growing.


Traffic reporting - you will be responsible for weekly and monthly reporting of traffic trends, identifying opportunities and dealing with issues, keeping stakeholders up to date of the figures.


Some more specific responsibilities;


  • You will be responsible for traffic and goal conversion.
  • To drive content and advert growth across all sites through implementing a strategy for SEM across all key traffic channels - organic, paid, social and referrals
  • To manage the keyword strategy and reporting to identify areas of growth and loss and give insight to enable each brand to drive traffic, by working closely with the content team.
  • To drive decision making and strategy with data and analytical insight.
  • To carry out regular and detailed SEO audits
  • To recommend on-site and technical changes and to carry out ‘hands-on’ changes where required, work closely with the product to drive changes to impact traffic and growth.
  • Growth of real ‘communities’ and EAT across our niche marketplaces. To develop your staff and help them create a strong understanding of the markets they work in, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives of each business.
  • Work closely with the commercial manager to ensure ad content strategy aligns to traffic and commercial goals.
  • To carry out advanced and detailed keyword research to identify the most effective and targeted key phrases for each group site. To periodically reassess these key phrases in order to ensure that they continue to be the right terms to target
  • To carry out detailed backlink analysis and devise innovative link building campaign ideas.
